FYI, Summative assessments are the half-yearly and annual exams for all the folk out there who are confused...

In the holidays, Our pento (hee hee I made it up...kind of like duo and trio) which consists of My parents, me, Vika and her mom (her dad has to go to his office) went to museums...

Highlights:

Aquarium--
*Saw so many fishies!
*Got a 3D bookmark

Science museum--
*Laser show!
*Fun Science expiriments!
*Got to check our balance and other abilities

Children's petting zoo---
*Got to feed animals!
*A goat licked my finger!

Wildlife Center--
*Saw so many animals, fishes, scorpions, reptiles, birds, amphibians from about 15-25cm close!
*Saw many birds flying freely....don't see that in a zoo...

Botanical Museum---
*Saw so many stuffed animals
*Saw the past and present of the Earth
*Walked so much our feet ached
*Got 3D parrot and a stegosaurus bookmark!

And today we went shopping.....

My (Lame) Class Party Poem With a message for 7A girls

 

Our class, 8A,

Had a small party

Even though it was time to be happy and gay

It turned out, most of us won't stay

We knew when some cried hardy ( I didn't get any word rhyming with it, Ok? )

We danced, We sang

We had a great time

But we knew it soon will burst with a 'BANG'

For A friend of mine,

One of our dear class monitors,

Will not stay her for long

As a family is moving, that is hers,

So another friend put a special for her, a song.

I dont know whether it cheered her up,

But one thing I can say for sure,

She'll be going with memories to lift her spirit up

And her friend, who had a recent breakup, will miss her, I'm VERY sure

But she's not the only one who's going to go

For there's one more

I don't know what to do

For a band of friends just tore

For our old class, 7A

I have special something.

A small thing to say;

 We had good times, playing and laughing,

I am back with the latest news from my boring-yet-thrilling life!!!!

Updaties..........

U1- Minds in Action -- Mission NASA and Beyond

I dont know whether I've mentioned this before.....I had reached the finals of Minds in Action but didn't make it to the top three......But they had given a finalists type of prize.....We can enter a competition ( Which costs US$65 ) for FREE

Mwahahahaha, I thought, I make to the finals.... that's good enough for me......If I WIN.......
GWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

My castle in cloud 9 was almost completed when the foundation broke.......

You see...... The director of GEMS education has changed.....so they are busy with re-initiating the things with the new director.......Hmmmm........Long Wait........

  

U2- The Doha fire -- Death Toll : 19 ::: about 68% = Kids 

Really, Very,very,very,VERY, sad......

Just imagine.......13 kids.......not even one is above 8 or 9 years.....

And worst is the death of the New Zealand triplets Lillie, Jackson and Willsher Weekes, who just turned 2 years few months back.....

Their poor parents.....Their house was once filled with noises and happiness of the two boys and the girl, and now just a silent house......I really feel sad about it...

U3- The 8th grade "Famous" Squash making -- How it showed that I was responsible

Heeheehee....I feel like laughing when I think about it....Gmpheeheehee 

We had to make a squash in class......any flavor of our choice.... So our group chose strawberry squash

First, we got the cream from A2 ( See Update timeeee.........) A1's twin sister who is in our class and in my group (A1 is in a different class). We asked for scissors but we couldn't get any....so our brainstorm: Poke the carton with a pen......It worked but only a tiny hole.....We poked some more and all of us squeezed it so it ALL came out......

Then we added strawberries (Chopped) and squashed them with a spork ( a spoon and fork mixture.... When you order KFC, they come with the coleslaw)....After that with our (clean) hands.......
Strawberry+Cream on our arms and a few splatters on our faces.....
Heeheeheeheeehhehehehehehehehe

After that we put a layer of chocs (melted), then a layer of chopped strawberries, another layer chocs, the "squash", sprinkled some flaky chocs, and our non-drinkable-yet-eatable squash was ready!!!!!!!

After that, we brought it on a tray (mine) and gave it to the place where we were supposed to keep it.....
After I got back to the bus, I remembered that I had kept it there so I ran over 25 miles back to where I left it and came back to the bus......
After I told what had happened to Mom and Dad, they said that it showed I was responsible now
